If you could go back in time and give yourself one piece of advice when you were just starting out in your career, what would it be and why?

wow! what a GREAT question! i sat w this question for a good 10 mins thinking... i wouldnt change any of the mistakes i made as a young musician. i definitely learned from all those mistakes. i guess i wish i wouldnt have been so eager to sign a record deal. or to earn acceptance from other local musicians. since i didnt try & win approval from my estranged Dad, i instead have always sought out approval from other musicians or from the industry. i even STILL struggle with this. i am in a new town - Lancaster, and am now 44 years old. but i STILL yearn for acceptance from the local music scene. WHY???
